A very good primer for you!

Will Winger do this on Saturday?

When we suit up on Saturday, will Winger look just like Joe Morgan (#13 in white) from the Saints in week 7 versus the Buccaneers?

It's extra cool that Tampa was wearing their creamsicle throwbacks!  By the way...more food updates posted at the right.  A bit later on, I'll be posting some of the prop bets for Saturday's games.

Attendee update!

As more news rolls in, I wanted to share an update of our attendee list to help you in planning your food contribution and to generally set expectations about the magnitude of this amazing event!  Current list:

2. Chad
3. Cam
4. Joel
5. Greg - out for the football game, in for the party
6. Scott
7. Jeff
8. Mark
9. Brian

10. Grant
11. Charles
12. Jamie R (aka Jimmy Rush) - 90% in
13. Matt B. (with Nathan)

Only 3 days left!!

There are only three days left until Football Fest 2013!  Things have fallen into place quite nicely.  We have a large group, a great plan, and some great football games to watch (and play!).  The picture below inspired the vote to the right.  What's your vote?

5 days to go!

With just five days left until Football Fest 2013, the roster is filling up even more!  We have:

1. Nathan
2. Chad
3. Cam
4. Joel
5. Greg
6. Scott
7. Jeff
8. Mark
9. Brian
10. Grant
11. Charles
12. Jamie R (aka Jimmy Rush) - 90% in
13. Matt B. (with Nathan)
14. Dan D. (with Nathan)
15. Shane (with Chad) - 50% in

The biggest remaining question - and there is a vote on ESPN right now - is whether it's the right decision to play The Bear on Saturday with his current injuries.  This will make the RG3 debate seem very minor!  How about playing with the Gout!  Now that's leaving it all on the field!!!

Don't look:

Last Ray dance at home

Look...I'm not a huge Ray Lewis fan or anything, but he played a great game today.  I, for one, will be studying this to display during the Fest Bowl:

Jim Nantz's favourite weekend

For what it's worth, Jim Nantz just said that the Divisional Weekend is his favourite of the year while calling the Balt/Indy game.  I know - it's not worth much.  Maybe we should invite him to call the Fest Bowl with Phil Simms.  I know, that's not a good idea either.  We're at least worth Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth!

Sunday Update!

Happy Sunday.  So it's going to be Green Bay at San Francisco for the night game (awesome) and either Baltimore or Indianapolis at Denver for the 4:30 game (also awesome).

The dudes are lining up for our Fest as well...here is an update on attendees:

1. Nathan
2. Chad
3. Cam
4. Joel
5. Greg
6. Scott
7. Jeff
8. Mark
9. Brian
10. Grant
11. Charles
12. Jamie R (aka Jimmy Rush) - 90% in

And some advice for our Fest Bowl:  make sure you don't do this (a highlight...lowlight from the 2012 Jets season...I present the Sanchez Butt Fumble):

8 days to go!

Hi everyone:

With only eight days remaining until Football Fest 2013, we better get some things in order.

(1) Attendees.  Based on correspondence and some educated guesses I believe we have the following people attending:

1. Nathan
2. Chad
3. Cam
4. Joel
5. Greg
6. Scott
7. Jeff
8. Mark
9. Brian

Unsure:  Grant, Jamie (Jimmy Rush), Charles, Jamie (Joyce)
Doubtful:  Matt, Fuss
Out:  Will

Nathan:  you have some friends coming too right?

(2) Food.  We can't rely wholly on Skinner.  So, please list what you can bring on the blog and/or reply to the email.

(3) Reminders.  Don't forget a pillow, sleeping bag/blanket, and your own booze.  Don't forget football gear and stuff for a night on the town.

(4) Supplies.  Shall we bring paper plates, cutlery, napkins, and plastic cups?  Who can do that?  I will bring at least one football but it's nice to have extras.  Does anyone have flags?  I have some orange "cones" from coaching Ben's soccer that will help with the sidelines and end zones.  Do we need anything else?

(5) Betting.  Bring money.  We will have squares and props as usual.  I bet there will be some poker too.

That's about it for now!  Wooooooooooooooot!!!!!
